Team India continued their winning run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as they beat England by 100 runs in Match 29 on Sunday, October 29 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. After being put in to bat first, the Men in Blue posted a fighting total of 229/9 in their allotted 50 overs. In reply, England were bundled out for just 129 in 34.5 overs as Mohammed Shami picked a 4-wicket haul.

Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav also bowled brilliantly as he registered figures of 2/24 in eight overs. The 28-year-old bowled a magical delivery to get the prized scalp of the England captain Jos Buttler (10 off 23) in the 16th over. Kuldeep pitched the ball up to Buttler as the right-hander got on the backfoot to play it. However, the ball turned back into the English batter sharply and he was left dumbfounded losing his stumps in the process.
