Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Shivam Dube has attained an impressive feat in the ongoing IPL 2023. The batter has the most sixes during the middle overs of the competition with as many as 16 maximums to his name.

Notably, CSK are locking horns with Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, April 30. Upon winning the toss, MS Dhoni decided to bat first in the contest. After the opening duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway got 86 runs for the first wicket, Punjab drew first blood by getting the vital scalp of the former.

In came Shivam Dube, who swiftly hit the ground running as he slammed two sixes and one four in his quick cameo. Impressively, the batter attained an impressive record in the ongoing edition of the IPL, as he has 16 sixes to his name in the middle overs (7-15).

In addition to this, he tops the charts as Glenn Maxwell stands in second place with 13 maximums in the middle overs. However, during the match against Punjab, his innings came to a screeching halt as he was dismissed by ace pacer Arshdeep Singh after scoring 28 runs off 17 balls, concluding with a strike rate of 164.70.

Notably, Dube endured an underwhelming start to the season as he compiled scores of 19, 27, 28, and 8 runs in the first four outings. However, the Southpaw turned his game around and got his lethal best out and returned with scores of 52, 50, and 52 prior to the match against PBKS.

Moreover, the batter has come in very handy in the middle-overs and carved out instrumental knocks which has put CSK in a strong position in numerous outings. He currently has 264 runs in nine outings for the Yellow Army in the 16th edition of the top-tier league. Meanwhile, CSK will look to maintain their fine run in the top-tier league and climb up the points table.
