In the ongoing match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, CSK opener Devon Conway edged a Khaleel Ahmed’s delivery as wicket-keeper Salt picked up an easy catch. However, the on-field umpire didn’t hear anything and dismissed the appeal.
However, ace pacer Khaleel was convinced about the edge and asked skipper David Warner to take a review but the 36-year-old didn’t take one after consulting Salt. Notably, the 25-year-old pacer tried his best to convince Warner but the Australia international didn’t pay much attention to his appeal. Meanwhile, replays showed that Conway indeed nicked it but it was too little too late for the visiting team.
However, Conway couldn’t prove to be dangerous as the New Zealand international managed to score only 10 runs off 13 deliveries. Left-arm orthodox Axar Patel got the better of him in the fifth over of the match as he failed to connect with the ball while playing a sweep shot.
Notably, he looked uncomfortable right from the start as the Delhi Capitals bowlers were all over him. He survived close calls on two different occasions before ultimately walking back to the pavilion.
