Veteran Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star and former skipper MS Dhoni’s craze knows no bounds when the 42-year-old takes the field for the five-time champions in the IPL (Indian Premier League). Having led the side to five IPL titles, MS Dhoni has garnered a cult-like following, especially in Chennai.
With Dhoni in the twilight of his IPL career, the fans have turned even more passionate and wish to see Dhoni bat in each and every game of Chennai Super Kings. However, a certain MS Dhoni fan was not happy with the CSK fans always asking for Dhoni and asking their own players to get out so that Dhoni could come in. He did claim that he had immense respect for Dhoni, but he did not appreciate the circus.
“I am very sorry, but CSK matches have all been like a circus. I am a big Dhoni fan. He is amazing, a legend and a great player. But the fans have been making a mess out of it. I have not been enjoying cricket. I have just posted on Facebook and Instagram, ‘Enjoyed an IPL match in MA Chidambaram without the Dhoni Circus,” the fan said in a viral video.

I couldn’t believe it, there would have been 48,000 MS Dhoni number seven shirts: Justin Langer
Furthermore, Lucknow Super Giants head coach and former Australia cricketer Justin Langer came forward to talk about the craze of MS Dhoni in India as well. He talked about how Chennai Super Kings fans took over the Ekana Stadium when the side came to play in Lucknow.
“They came to Lucknow, and our capacity crowd [in Ekana Stadium] is about 50,000, and honestly, there would have been 48,000 MS Dhoni number seven shirts. I couldn’t believe it, and then we went to CSK, and there wasn’t 98%; there was 100%. And it’s unbelievable. The hero worship in India is unbelievable,” Langer said.
