Star cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal‘s wife Dhanashree Verma has forced the netizens to think their heads over her recent social media post.

After their marriage in 2020, Chahal and Dhanashree became the most sought-after couple in the media and entertainment industry. They gained massive attention on social media as well. Dhanashree, spouse of current highest wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League (IPL), also appeared on a dance reality show and emerged as one of the finalists.

However, four years into their relationship, the things seem to have taken a turn, as the rumours on the power couple’s separation spread like a wildfire. The couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, and removed their pictures together from the feed as well. Several meme pages and channels came in support of the husband, and brutally blamed Dhanashree left, right, and centre.

Addressing the mental imbalance the social media caused to her over the last few weeks, she took to her Instagram story and said that commenting anything on her character will never change from who she actually is. She further stated that truth always stands tall, and needs no justification.

“The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay,” she wrote.

Chahal to feature for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025

Speaking of Chahal, the leg-spinner has been bought by the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL mega auction for a whopping price of INR 18 crore and this will be the fourth franchise he will be representing in the tournament as he was released by the Rajasthan Royals. Notably, Chahal joined the Rajasthan-based franchise in 2022, and helped them reach the finals in his first stint. The side finished their campaign after an unfortunate loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Eliminator.
