Team India (IND) pulled off a magnificent victory against Pakistan (PAK) in their recent clash at the T20 World Cup 2024. The side faltered in the early stages of the game, as they only managed to post a total of 119 runs in the first innings. However, India’s exceptional bowling saw Pakistan unable to chase down the target, and they lost the game by six runs.
After the game, star India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was seen interviewing some of the best performers from the India-Pakistan clash. Namely, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Mohammed Siraj. Chahal talked to Pant and asked him about his unconventional shots that were on full display against Pakistan. Speaking about the same, Pant revealed that he wanted to do well after being out of contention for playing for so long.
“Not much was going on in my head; it was just the game to stay positive and the plan was to keep it simple. India-Pakistan is always a high-pressure game and Axar Patel has practiced batting at number three and four the entirety of the IPL, and when your mate is with you, you get comfortable too,” Pant said in a video shared by the BCCI.
I am very happy: Mohammed Siraj
Furthermore, Yuzvendra Chahal talked to star India pacer Mohammed Siraj, and instead of talking about his performance with the ball, Chahal asked Siraj questions about his contributions with the bat. Siraj revealed that he had been practicing his batting in the nets in the IPL, as the runs scored by the tailenders are very crucial. He also stated that he was very happy with his contribution of seven runs.
