‘Bumrah is science man!’- Harbhajan Singh lauds Jasprit Bumrah with cheeky Saeed Ajmal reference(Photo Source: BCCI)
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has praised pacer Jasprit Bumrah for his brilliant performance against Australia with a cheeky reference of Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal. Bumrah has been in fine form in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and is currently the leading wicket-taker in the series, having tormented the Aussies with his skills and brilliance.
Bumrah was the Player of the Match in the series opener in Perth where he took eight wickets across the two innings and led India to a 295-run win in regular skipper Rohit Sharma’s absence. He claimed four wickets in the pink-ball Test in Adelaide and managed another fifer in the first innings in Brisbane in the third Test of the series.
“Because Bumrah is science man. I was watching an interview of Saeed Ajmal with Usman Khawaja and in that he had said ‘What is science, man, science is man.’ So Bumrah is science, he is a very big scientist, his work starts where science fails because he knows where to pitch the ball. And that’s an art, Bumrah knows how to make a batsman play and Khawaja doesn’t know how to play Bumrah. He is special, he is different from others, his art is different and his stats show what a great bowler he is,” said Harbhajan in the commentary box.

It is safe to say that Bumrah has been the best bowler for India in the series and has been able to take wickets during the crucial moments in the game.
