The opening Test clash between South Africa and New Zealand kicked off with a hilarious broadcast blunder at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. As the cricketing world tuned in eagerly, they were left scratching their heads as the South African playing XI popped up on screens with some unexpected faces. The technical glitch hilariously replaced South Africa’s Raynard van Tonder with New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, causing quite a stir. Adding to the amusement, all-rounder Glenn Phillips from the Kiwi squad mysteriously found himself gracing South African top order, substituting Ruan de Swardt.
