In preparation for the crucial third T20I clash against Australia in Guwahati, the BCCI treated fans with a rib-tickling clip featuring Ishan Kishan taking on the ‘only wrong answers’ challenge. Ishan, in his characteristic jovial style, hilariously reimagined himself as head coach VVS Laxman and playfully altered the professions of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, nailing the challenge with finesse, much like his performance at the No. 3 position in the T20I series.

The jest-filled interview had him effortlessly delivering comically incorrect responses. From claiming an age of 80 to attributing the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 to Brazil, he brought a barrel of laughs. Tongue-in-cheek remarks about captain Suryakumar being both a wicket-keeper and bowler added to the mirth. Inverting answers became Ishan’s winning strategy, showcasing his humor off the field as effectively as his batting on it.

The southpaw’s stellar form in the ongoing T20I series against Australia has been nothing short of spectacular. Two back-to-back fifties in the initial matches propelled India to a commanding 2-0 lead. His scintillating 58 in the series opener set the tone, coupling with skipper Suryakumar Yadav for a remarkable 112-run partnership, steering India to their highest T20I chase of 209.

Ishan Kishan’s adaptability has garnered him applauds

Demonstrating versatility, the 25-year-old anchored innings, showcasing his ability to adapt as a batsman. In the second T20I, he solidified his position as a pivotal player, hammering a quickfire 53, contributing significantly to India’s massive total of 235. His consistent scoring and aggressive style have propelled him to the top of the run-scoring charts in the series, boasting an impressive average of 55.

Moreover, the wicketkeeper-batter’s adaptability in batting positions according to team needs has been commendable, currently settling in at the number 3 spot. With the series at 2-0 in favor of India, the team appeared relaxed, engaging in light-hearted challenges.
