The ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 has seen many topics being raised pertaining to several things. From Bumrah’s class in the first Test to Mohammed Siraj’s aggression, there have been many talking points from the series already. However, one of the most recent ones has been the Indian team banning the open training sessions for the rest of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, citing concentration issues.

Ahead of the third Test, with India banning the sessions, the Australian team announced another open training session for the fans. Cricket Australia took to social media and announced the schedule for the sessions.

Australia will be hosting the fans on December 12, two days ahead of the third Test match in Brisbane. On the other hand, the Indian team is very unlikely to host another open training session.

The net sessions are very private: Rohit Sharma

Recently, India skipper Rohit Sharma took center stage and talked about the open net sessions and how the conversations they have in the session are very private and are not to be released to the local public. He revealed that it was the first time when he witnessed a plethora of fans watching the net session and opined that the fans should watch them in the game instead.

“You know, the net sessions are very private, and this was the first time ever I saw so many people during the nets. And when you’re training, when you’re practicing, there is a lot of conversation that happens, and those conversations are very private. We don’t want anyone to hear those conversations. It is as simple as that because there’s a lot of planning,” Rohit said in the press conference.

“There’s a lot of talking that happens. And the crowds are very close to that practice facility. There are five days of Test cricket. They can come and watch us there,” he added.
