Ben Stokes is regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders of all time. Liam Livingstone, on the other hand, is one of the most destructive batters in world cricket.

The duo is currently in India with the England team to play the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Stokes recently narrated a scary moment he encountered during one of his autorickshaw rides alongside Livingstone and England’s strength and conditioning coach, Andy Mitchell. A white car almost collided with their tuk-tuk.

“So, me and Livi [Liam Livingstone] are pretty big lads, and we also had our strength and conditioning coach, Mitch [Andy Mitchell], who is even bigger than us. Now, tuk-tuk’s aren’t very big. So, you can imagine that we were pretty squashed in the back of his tuk-tuk. This is the one I got [shows the video on his phone]… We were just running up to the roundabout here. Does not slow down and, yeah, there he goes!” Stokes said during a chat on The Athlete’s Voice by 4CAST.

England have not had the best of campaigns thus far in the ODI World Cup 2023. They have only one win under their belt in the four matches they played. Stokes missed the first three games as he was struggling with a hip issue. However, he returned for England’s most recent game against South Africa but couldn’t live up to his potential.
England face Sri Lanka on Thursday, October 26 in Bengaluru. This is potentially a do-or-die contest as the two teams have struggled thus far in the tournament and have little scope for slip-ups. Meanwhile, Livingstone played the first three games but was dropped for the clash against the Proteas.
England are the favourites to win against Sri Lanka. However, the current edition of the marquee event has already witnessed some shocking results and Sri Lanka could be the latest team to deliver an upset.
