MS Dhoni to don CSK colours for one more year
The 17th edition of the IPL is looming on the horizon, and as fans gear up for the marquee tournament once more, many will wait in anticipation to witness the performances of veteran Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni. The 42-year-old led the side to a resounding title win in 2023, helping them become the joint most successful side in IPL history alongside Mumbai Indians.
After the win, Dhoni promised the fans that he would feature in the tournament for another year, and as the competition rolls around the corner, the fans will be ecstatic to see the veteran don the yellow jersey once more.
On the other hand, the IPL 2024 will also see Umesh Yadav feature for yet another season. The 36-year-old will represent the 2022 champions Gujarat Titans after he was brought in for a career-high sum of INR 5.8 crore.
After losing the summit clash of the tournament to Chennai in 2023, and with the new leadership of Shubman Gill ahead of the new season, Gujarat Titans will look to revitalise and get the championship gold on their side once more.
The side will be without the services of all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the IPL 2024, as the star all-rounder was roped in by Mumbai Indians ahead of the new season.
