The email communication pertained to the invitation for the inauguration of the state-of-the-art facility on the said date. It also entailed a lavish list of the amenities the provision would comprise.

“I hope this message finds you well. It is our pleasure to extend an invitation to you for the much-anticipated inauguration of the new National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, India, on September 28. The new NCA will feature three world-class playing grounds, 45 practice pitches, indoor cricket pitches, Olympic-size swimming pool and state-of-the-art training, recovery, and sports science facilities. BCCI’s hunt for new chief on the cards

The NCA is currently headed by VVS Laxman. His tenure will be coming to an end soon. Disinterested to continue for another term due to personal concerns, the board is now on the hunt for a new chief to foresee and takeover from the able hands of Laxman.

Notably, both the current regulars and the potential inclusions in the national setup have access to the NCA. What happens to the old NCA, neighbouring the city’s historic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, remains to be seen.
