The T20 cricket fever continues in Australia as the Big Bash League (BBL 2024-25) continues to thrill the fans. After 35 games, the 36th one turned out to be a scary one. Notably, the current game is being played between Brisbane Heat (HEA) and Hobart Hurricanes (HUR). Amid the T20 fun, a fire incident marred the game.
The incident took place at the end of the fourth over of the Hurricanes’ run chase. A small fire erupted in the DJ booth of the Gabba. In fact, a man was spotted with a fire extinguisher to put off the flame. However, amid chaos, the police authorities began the evacuation process of the fans in quick time. The location of the fire was reported to be on the third tier situated underneath the scoreboard of the venue.
Currently, the game stands halted due to the incident and an investigation is going on.

Fire did not harm any fan at the Gabba
However, to everyone’s relief, soon after taking some precautionary measures at the venue, the game resumed again as the fire was under control and eventually extinguished successfully. Meanwhile, speaking of the BBL encounter, the Hurricanes are chasing a huge target of 202 runs against Heats.
