Shubman Gill has spent a lot of time with his India captain Rohit Sharma. He was his opening partner for most of the time before Yashasvi Jaiswal took over the spot. It seems a lot of it has rubbed on Gill, as he has taken a leaflet out of Rohit’s book about forgetting things at key moments. While at the toss as Gujarat Titan took on Chennai Super Kings, Gill won the flip and straightaway opted to bat only to recollect and go with bowling first.
CSK are hosting GT in the 7th match of the Indian Premier League 2024. Both teams are coming off emphatic victories and GT will look to exact revenge for last year’s finals loss against the CSK. When the two teams met last time in the final, CSK emerged victorious in the ultimate showdown that traversed for two days due to rain.
