Pakistan are currently placed at No. 5 on the World Test Championship (WTC) points table for the 2023-2025 cycle. They have won two games and lost three out of the five that they have played. Meanwhile, Bangladesh find themselves languishing at No. 8, just above the West Indies. From four matches, Bangladesh have registered a solitary win and lost the other three games.
Pakistan and Bangladesh will be returning to action for the first time since the T20 World Cup in June. While Pakistan were ousted in the first round, Bangladesh made it to the Super Eight stage before crashing out.
