On Day 3 of the second Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Dhaka, a bizarre incident was spotted on camera as a total of five fielders were chasing a ball from going to the boundary. The incident took place on the 21st over of the second innings when Prabath Jayasuriya was batting. Having lost six wickets rather quickly, Sri Lanka were under pressure as Bangladesh bowlers had a remarkable time in the middle. They tried to create more pressure on the Jayasuriya as they set a close field when Hasan Mahmud was bowling in the middle.

Notably, Mahmud bowled a length delivery to which, Jayasuriya simply guided towards the gully and following which, it was seen that a total of five fielders were chasing the ball. Ultimately, the fielder at point won the race as Sri Lankan players picked up two runs in the end. Notably, Sri Lanka took a lead of 531 runs in the first innings and are in the prime position to win the second Test as well and eventually seal the series.

However, Bangladesh bowlers did a remarkable job in the second innings of the match and would hope for a turnaround but chasing over 450 runs seems difficult nonetheless, especially when their batters have failed massively in the Test series so far.
