England all-rounder Will Jacks has been ruled out of the remainder of the Bangladesh tour due to a thigh injury. Jacks will be missing the third one-day international as well as the T20I series against Bangladesh. The third and final ODI will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday, March 6. Meanwhile, the T20I series between the teams will begin on Thursday.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said that the 24-year-old sustained the injury while fielding in the second ODI in Dhaka on Friday. He will be heading back to England in a couple of days to begin his rehabilitation.
Regardless of the injury, Jacks is likely to be able to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League which will begin on March 31. He was roped in by the Faf du Plessis-led side for INR 3.2 crore at the player auction in December 2022. RCB will open their IPL 2023 campaign against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians on April 2.
