The ODI World Cup 2023 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated and prestigious tournaments in the sport. With the best cricketing nations giving it their all to win the coveted title, the tournament will be held in India in 2023, and not having won an ICC trophy since 2013, the Rohit Sharma-led side would be keen on breaking the jinx and bringing the World Cup back home after 12 years.

England are the defending champions of the tournament after their thrilling win in the super over against New Zealand in 2019. Apart from them, the Pat Cummins-led Australia would look to go all the way as well. They won the title back in 2015, and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was of the opinion that the Kangaroos could go all the way once again.

Mitchell Marsh, who is currently representing Delhi Capitals in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, came forward to make a bold prediction for the 2023 ODI World Cup final. “Australia undefeated, defeating India. Australia 450/2 in the final, India all out 65,” Marsh said in a Delhi Capitals podcast.

Delhi Capitals struggling to find their form at the IPL 2023

Delhi Capitals have had a season to forget in the IPL 2023. Led by David Warner, thy find themselves in 10th place in the IPL points table with eight points in 10 games. Having lost six games at the competition, they would have to win every one of their remaining games to stay in the race for playoff qualification.

For their next assignment, they will take on the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday, May 10. Seeing their current form, overcoming the MS Dhoni-led Chennai could prove to be quite the challenge for Delhi.

However, they would be coming into the game after back-to-back victories against Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore. David Warner would look to use their recent success as an advantage and would be keen on overcoming the Chepauk challenge as well.
