Meanwhile, as per the same report, the duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Siraj did not have a bowl in Tuesday’s net session.

For the unversed, Head has suggested after the match that he had actually commented “well bowled” while walking back to the pavilion. However, Siraj denied the assertion and confirmed that nothing of that sort was mentioned. The most recent update on the situation is that both of them have amicably settled their differences on the matter by having a word with each other.

In a recent statement, the ICC stated that “Siraj has been penalized 20% of his match fee after being found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.”

On the other hand, Head managed to get away with a fiscal obligation. The lone centurion from the previous match, however, was also sanctioned for breaching Article 2.13 of the same code, which addresses abuses hurled out by players during an international match.

The two players involved were handed one demerit point each, which marked their first disciplinary infringement in the last couple of years. “Both admitted their offenses and accepted the sanctions proposed by Match Referee, Ranjan Madugalle,” added the statement released by the ICC.
