The highly anticipated Pakistan vs India encounter in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2023 will get underway on Sunday, September 10 at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Both teams will be eager to win the upcoming fixture after the previous game between them got washed out in Pallekele. Pakistan dominated India in the first innings of the match as they dismissed them for 266 in 48.5 overs with Shaheen Afridi doing most of the damage with his spell of 4/35 in ten overs.

Continuing with their domination, the Babar Azam-led side has made a bold statement by announcing their playing XI one day in advance of the fixture. Pakistan will field the same team that played against Bangladesh in their first Super 4 match. The hosts of the continental tournament will field a four-pronged seam attack consisting of Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf to give no respite to the Indian batters.

Shadab Khan has been included as the only spin option in the playing XI with the rest of the spots being taken by batters.
