The third Ashes Test between England and Australia garnered a lot of attention for plenty of reasons, apart from what happened on the 22 yards. Australian wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey was rumoured to have left a barber shop without paying £30 for the haircut in Leeds, but all the claims turned out to be false when Cricket Australia intervened.
It became even more clear when former England captain Alastair Cook apologised for putting out the entire scenario in an incorrect manner on air and creating a confusion. The hairdresser, Adam Mahmood, has now revealed that he has been paid in full, and it was never his intention to create such a confusion.
A report by The Weekend Australian revealed that Mahmood never intended to trouble any of the players and that he had received the pending sum as well. He also stated that he was disappointed by the reaction of the Australian fans, who tried to bring his Google rating down.
