The Topsy-Turvy 2023 Ashes is back after a gap of few days as England lock horns with arch-rivals Australia in the fourth match of the series. The encounter is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 19, at Old Trafford in Manchester. After losing the opening two games, Ben Stokes and his side bounced back in the last game at Headingley in Leeds to make it 2-1.

Speaking in detail about the third Test, Mitchell Marsh, who replaced fellow all-rounder Cameron Green, struck a scintillating run-a-ball century (118) as the Australians reached a total of 263 in their first innings. Speedster Mark Wood, who played his first match of the series, delivered a fiery spell of 5/34 in 11.4 overs. In reply, skipper Ben Stokes again looked in terrific touch as he smashed 80 which included six fours and five maximums.

Though, his side still managed to score only 237 in their first innings, with Captain Pat Cummins picking up 6/91. Travis Head led the charge with his familiar counter-attacking approach as he scored 77 to take Australia’s total to 224. Chasing 251 to win, Harry Brook smashed 75 as the home side sealed the contest by three wickets to stage a comeback in the series. A mouth-watering clash awaits the fans as the thrilling series enters its fourth match in Manchester, with the home side looking to level the series 2-2.
