Team England have announced their playing XI for the all-important fourth Ashes Test match against Australia, which will begin on July 19, at Old Trafford, in Manchester. Notably, the home side will be trying to stay relevant in a bid to gain the ‘Urn’.

After losing the first two Tests, the Ben Stokes-led side defeated Australia at Headingley by three wickets. With the series still undecided, the hosts will be looking to give their best efforts to secure a win in the forthcoming fourth Test for a series equaliser to keep Australia on their toes. The fifth and final Test will be played at The Oval.

Meanwhile, speaking of the changes in the England playing XI for the fourth Test, the legendary ‘Burnley Express’ aka James Anderson replaces Ollie Robinson for a solitary change in the side. Anderson’s inclusion brings a wealth of experience and skill, making him a potent threat against the Australian batting lineup. His return will undoubtedly bolster the home side and provide the much-needed variety in their bowling attack.

With this squad announcement, England aim to build on their recent triumph and maintain the momentum they gained from the victory at Headingley. The inclusion of James Anderson, coupled with the existing talent in the team, reflects the determination and belief within the England camp.
