The IPL (Indian Premier League) title once again has eluded Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru as the side crashed out of the IPL 2024 after they lost the Eliminator of the tournament to Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, May 22. Battling out 17 years for the title, the hunger still remains in the heart of star batter and the franchise.

RCB’s head coach, Andy Flower, recently came forward to laud Kohli for his never-ending hunger for titles, and despite winning numerous accolades throughout his career, Kohli is still driven to win more.

The 35-year-old led the IPL 2024’s batting charts with 741 runs, including a century and five fifties; however, his performances were not enough to propel RCB to Qualifier 2 of the tournament. Seeing his performances, Andy Flower revealed that he was waiting to see Kohli perform in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

“Working in the same dressing room with him has been a real pleasure, as an ex-batsman it has been an absolute pleasure to watch him bat. The way he thinks about the game — and he backs that up with an amazing level of skill, aggression and hunger — I look forward to watching him in the World Cup,” Flower was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.

“I think it’s amazing that he is still evolving his game, even though he has got an incredible record already,” he added.

Rajasthan Royals to face Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024 qualifier 2

Coming to the IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royals wiped out Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator of the tournament and progressed further into the competition. The inaugural champions will now go on to face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 of the competition, where the winner of the clash will go on to face Kolkata Knight Riders in the summit clash.

Sunrisers Hyderabad recently lost the first qualifier against KKR, and they will hope to improve and register a win against RR and make it to the final.
