Former South Africa international Jacques Kallis, who is also considered one of the greatest all-rounders of all time, shared an adorable video on his Twitter profile, where he was spotted playing cricket with his son.
In the video, his three-year-old son Josh was spotted batting while Kallis was bowling to him. He hit a shot towards the mid-on and Kallis recorded that and later shared by saying that he is already playing better than his dad. The former cricketer also tagged his wife stating that he might be spending more time on the cricket field given his son’s talent with the bat.
“Already hits it better than dad did. Looks like I gonna be next to a cricket field for many years to come @charlene_engels,” Kallis shared.
Notably, the legendary cricketer, recently, became a father for the second time when his wife, Charlene Engels, gave birth to their daughter, Chloé Grace Kallis. The 47-year-old shared heartwarming pictures of the newborn and stated that their hearts are exploding with love holding their daughter.
“Introducing our beautiful baby girl, Chloé Grace Kallis, born this morning at 08:37. Our tiny little princess weighing in at 2.88kg already got Daddy wrapped around her little finger. Mom & baby doing well and Joshy is loving his little sister. Our hearts are exploding!” Kallis wrote.
When it comes to his playing days, Kallis was the backbone of the South African team and even rolled his arms over multiple times to bail South Africa out of a difficult situation. Overall, the Cape Town-born cricketer has played 519 international matches and has scored 25,534 runs. When it comes to bowling, the prolific allrounder has picked up 577 wickets.
When it comes to the Indian Premier League, Kallis played a vital role in helping Kolkata Knight Riders win the trophy in 2012 and 2014. Notably, in the finals of 2012, he scored 69 runs off 49 deliveries as the Gautam Gambhir-led side was chasing a mammoth total of 191 runs.
