The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is all set to kick off on October 3 and will be held in Sharjah and Dubai. It is worth noting that the marquee tournament was set to be held in Bangladesh, but due to the political tensions in the country, the competition was moved out.
Ahead of the tournament, the ICC (International Cricket Council) announced a total of 13 match officials for the tournament. The list includes 10 umpires and three match referees. Furthermore, the panel selected is an all-female panel with heaps of experience.
Claire Polosak will be bringing the most experience in the group; interestingly, she has officiated in four Women’s T20 World Cups, with the likes of Kim Cotton and Jacqueline Williams, who will be making their fourth appearance in the tournament.
