Team India are currently touring West Indies which also kicked off their new World Test Championship campaign. In the first Test of the series, which was played in Dominica, the visitors showed complete domination to thrash the home side by an innings. Meanwhile, during the game, we saw several hilarious moments and the main culprit for putting a smile on the cricket fans was none other than the Indian wicketkeeper and debutant, Ishan Kishan.

In yet another lively banter. Kishan was seen trolling India’s Test Vice Captain, Ajinkya Rahane. This hilarious moment took place during the last session on Day 3 of the Dominica Test. At that juncture, Team India needed just one wicket to wrap up the West Indies innings. However, the tailender in the form of Jomel Warrican showed some resistance to India’s bowling.

Warrican came up with a rather unusual batting stance en route to playing some unconventional shots during his stay at the crease. On spotting this unusual shotmaking, Ishan Kishan continued his chirping from behind the stumps, albeit, this time with the fellow fielder in Ajinkya Rahane who was stationed next to him in the slips. The wicketkeeper trolled the deputy skipper by saying that Jomel Warrican has ended up playing more deliveries than the batter.

“Aap se zyada ball khel gaya yeh, Ajju bhai (He has now played more balls than you),” Kishan said to Rahane in the slips.

Thereafter, the West Indian managed to score only one run during his 18-ball struggle as the veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin trapped him in front of the wicket to seal the game for Team India.

Dominant spin bowling display by Ashwin led to West Indies’ collapse in first Test

Meanwhile, speaking of the first Test, after the batting heroics of debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal and a fine century by skipper Rohit Sharma, the veteran batter Virat Kohli took matters into his hands. Kohli dug in to produce a rather unusual knock from him as he scored an important fifty (76 off 182) before Cornwall dismissed him. Soon after, India declared their innings to give West Indies a tough target of 271 runs.

Even during the second innings, the batting woes of the home side continued. The hero of the Indian bowling in the first innings yet again proved lethal in the second innings as well. The veteran spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin, ran through the West Indies batting lineup for fun and ended up with an emphatic seven-wicket haul (7/71) to seal the game for India inside three days.
