Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fans will be content with their team’s buys at the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in Dubai. The franchise splurged INR 30.80 crore and added eminent international names such as Travis Head, Pat Cummins, and Wanindu Hasaranga to do well in the upcoming edition of the league which is expected to return in March.
The Orange Army struggled in all departments of the game in the last three seasons but this year, they will look to be disciplined and win the trophy for their supporters. In the batting department, they have got players such as Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, Travis Head, Mayank Agarwal, and Rahul Tripathi, who are known for changing the course of the game with their experience and skills.
In the last season, their headache was bowling which looked completely out of rhythm. The 2016 champions have added some strength to their bowling unit and they will look to get the desired results in the upcoming competition. As cricket fans are gearing up to witness the 2024 installment of IPL, let’s discuss three bowlers who can be impactful for SRH.
Here are three bowlers to watch out for in SRH
3. Mayank Markande
Mayank Markande looked decent for Sunrisers in 2023, grabbing 12 wickets in 10 matches at an economy of 7.89. In his team’s difficult time, he bowled some match-winning spells and strived to help his team be among the victories. The 26-year-old will be expected to be more confident with the ball in the upcoming season.
The leggie exuded confidence with the ball in recent white-ball domestic tournaments such as the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) and Vijay Hazare Trophy. Representing Punjab in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he got nine wickets in six matches at a frugal economy of 4.83.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar isn’t active in Team India nowadays but his fans will get a chance to see him in SRH’s jersey in the 2024 IPL. The veteran pacer ended up as the highest wicket-taker for SRH in the 2023 season but didn’t look as economical and wicket-taking option as he used to be once.
Bhuvneshwar’s responsibility will be to open bowling for the team and provide early breakthroughs. The 34-year-old looked in fine touch with the ball for Uttar Pradesh in the 2023-24 Vijay Hazare Trophy, picking up 11 wickets in five matches at an economy of 4.96.
