West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl. Phil Salt and Jos Buttler had a partnership of 77 runs for the first wicket. Salt made 40 runs off just 20 deliveries, while Buttler made 39 runs off 31 deliveries. No other batter managed to cross the 30-run mark for the English team. They were bundled out for 171 runs in 19.3 overs. Andre Russell and Alzarri Joseph took three wickets each for West Indies. Brandon King and Kyle Mayers added 32 runs for the first wicket before King was dismissed after scoring 22 runs off 12 deliveries. Shai Hope made 36 runs off 30 deliveries. Mayers also had a decent outing and scored 35 runs off 21 deliveries. Rovman Powell and Andre Russell had a partnership of 49 runs and helped West Indies win the game by four wickets. Powell scored 31 runs off 15 deliveries, while Russell made 29 runs off 14 deliveries. Rehan Ahmed was the most successful bowler for the team and took three wickets for 39 runs in four overs.
