Theni will take on Tirupattur in the 68th match of the SS Rajan T20 Trophy 2024 at the Salem Cricket Foundation Stadium in Salem on January 26. Theni are at the top of the points table in Group G, while Tirupattur are just below their counterparts.

Theni faced Thiruvarur in their last match, where Thiruvarur elected to field after winning the toss. Batting from Theni, K Subhash Nandha scored 93 runs and was the highest scorer. Sudhan Kandepan also had a decent outing with the bat and scored 43 runs. The team scored 218 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Ajith scored 25 runs, the highest for Thiruvarur. Gowthaman was the second-highest run-scorer and made 22 runs. Thiruvarur could score only 88 runs, and got all out, and Theni won the match by 130 runs.

Tirupattur locked horns with Salem in their last game and Salem chose to bat after winning the toss. They scored 138 runs for the loss of six wickets. Gunaseelan S and Sharun Kumar played a crucial role with the bat for the team and scored 31 and 28 runs, respectively. A Rudharan played a knock of 29 runs, followed by Nihad Ahamed, who hit 21 runs. But the team failed to chase down their target, and lost the match by 20 runs.
