Tribhuvan Army Club will lock horns with Karnali Province in the 35th match of the Nepal PM Cup OD at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on January 28. Tribhuvan Army Club and Karnali Province have both played a match each so far where the TAC won the game and are fourth while KNP lost the game and are eighth in the standings.

Tribhuvan Army Club squared off against Madhesh Province in their last match where Madhesh Province won the toss and elected to bowl. Being put to bat, Tribhuvan did a fairly good job with the bat. They started well and the middle order took the responsibility after the top order as well which helped post a huge total of 320 runs. Madhes Province started the chase aggressively but it could not last long. There were a couple of good knocks here and there but they were not given proper support and as a result, they were bowled out for 194 losing the game by 126 runs.

Karnali Province had played against Madhesh Province in their last match where Madhesh Province won the toss and elected to bat. They made the most of having won the toss and their top order proved the decision right. They all got starts and two of them were able to reach their fifties which propelled the team to a total of 231 runs. Karnali Province were slow on the pitch as they struggled and looked rusty. Arjun Gharti was the only batter to look comfortable but as he kept losing partners one after the other, they lost the game by 61 runs.

The track at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground is quite equally helpful to batters as well as bowlers. With good turn and bounce off the pitch, spinners are expected to do well here. It would be a good contest between the bat and the ball here. Teams prefer to chase the total after winning the toss with the average first innings score being 194.
