Qurum Thunders will lock horns with Bousher Busters in the 6th match of the Oman D50 League 2024 at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Al Amarat on February 18. Bousher Busters and Qurum Thunders have both won a match each from their two matches played so far and occupy the top two positions in the table.

Qurum Thunders squared off against Amerat Royals in their last encounter where Amerat Royals won the toss and elected to bowl. Thunders were off to a sensational start as the openers looked in great touch and added 144 runs for the opening stand. This foundation helped them reach a strong total of 280 runs on the board. Royals, in reply, did not start too well and kept losing wickets regularly. As a result, they were bowled out for 181 and lost the game by 99 runs.

Bousher Busters played against Darsait Titans in their last match where Darsait Titans won the toss and elected to bowl. Adeeb Usmani’s Century was the highlight of the match as he made a sensational 125 and was aided with a fifty by Wasim Ali as the Busters registered a total of 294 runs at the loss of six wickets. Titans started decently and had a good partnership for the third wicket. However, they were not able to find good partnerships later on and were bowled out for 178, losing the game by 116 runs.

The track at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground is quite helpful to batters in nature. With good seam and swing movement off the deck, pacers are expected to do well here. Batters, once settled can look to score big. Teams prefer to chase the total after winning the toss with the average first innings score being 226.
