New Zealand will take on Bangladesh in the first ODI of the three-match series on Sunday (December 17) at the University Oval in Dunedin. Bangladesh recently played a tour match against the New Zealand XI, where they scored 334 runs in 49.5 overs. Tanzid Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, and Rishad Hossain made a half-century each. Hossain was the highest scorer with 87 runs off 54 deliveries. New Zealand XI could make only 308 runs and lost the match by 26 runs. Rishad Hossain and Afif Hossain took three wickets each.

Ben Sears and Adithya Ashok have been picked in the squad for the last two matches. Ish Sodhi is there in the squad for the first game only. Finn Allen, Tom Blundell, Henry Nicholls, Josh Clarkson, Jacob Duffy, Adam Milne, and William O’Rourke are the players who have been picked in the squad and were not in the ODI World Cup team.
