Paul Stirling and his men will be no walkovers either this time and will be looking to challenge the runners-up of the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Preview

After facing an unprecedented ODI series defeat against Afghanistan, Aiden Markram’s South Africa started the two-match T20I series against Ireland on a winning note. Now, the Proteas will take on the Irish men in the second and last fixture of the T20I series at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 29, 9:00 PM (IST).

In the first T20I at the same venue on September 27, South Africa won the toss and asked Ireland to bat first. Batting first, Ireland posted a total of 171 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs courtesy of Curtis Campher’s 36-ball 49 runs, alongside wicketkeeper-batter Neil Rock’s 28-ball 37 runs.

Thanks to wicketkeeper-batter Ryan Rickelton’s 76 runs off just 48 balls, hitting three sixes and six fours, alongside Reeza Hendricks’ half-century, South Africa chased down the target only in 17.4 overs, scoring 174 runs for the loss of 2 wickets and won the game by 8 wickets.

That said, Ireland will be eyeing levelling the series by 1-1 with a win in this game while the Proteas will look ahead to clean sweep the former with a win in this game.

As the team gears up for the upcoming clash, all eyes will be on the thrilling competition set to unfold on the cricket field. Ahead of the game, here is a look at the Dream11 predictions, the fantasy tips, the pitch report, the top player picks, and the best-predicted XIs for the fantasy contests of the match.

Pitch Report

The pitch is expected to be good for spinners and slow bowlers. There will be bounce and carry from the surface, and batters need to spend some time adjusting according to the conditions. The toss will be important because of the dew, and the chase will become slightly easier.
