Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will be facing each other in their first match of the IPL 2024. Both the teams faced each other in the previous season in the Qualifier 2 game at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where Shubman Gill scored a terrific hundred. It will be a rematch between the two sides, as the match is set to take place at the same venue. It will be the second match on 24th March 2024.
While RR and LSG will be taking on each other in Jaipur at 3:30 PM (IST), MI and GT will be up against each other in the night game at 7:30 PM (IST). It will be a new look MI as they will be playing under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. Likewise, it will also be a new look for GT as they will be playing under Shubman Gill. The battle between the two teams will be interesting as they will be without some of their key players for the match.
MI will be playing without Suryakumar Yadav. The star player is not yet match fit. GT will be missing their star bowler, Mohammed Shami, who got ruled out of the IPL 2024 due to an injury. Both the teams have some of the best players in the world, like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Tim David, Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, Kane Williamson, Umesh Yadav, David Miller, Ishan Kishan, and so on. That promises to be a great match between the two sides.
