Spain Women will lock horns with Czechia Women in the 1st match of the ECI-W Spain-Czechia 2024 at the Montjuic Ground in Barcelona on February 17. Spain have not been too great of form as they have won just one of their last five games while Czechia on the other hand, have won their last three games.

Spain Women squared off against Italy Women in their last encounter, where Spain Women won the toss and elected to bat. Spain Women were too cautious in their approach as they had difficulty finding regular boundaries. They did not lose many wickets but were limited to a below-par total of 72. Italy had a negligible total ahead of them and they had no difficulty in chasing the total. They won the game by eight wickets easily.

Czechia Women played against Croatia Women in their last match where Croatia Women won the toss and elected to bat. Being put to bat, Croatia just could not utilise the opportunity well as their batters failed to even rotate the strike well. They played the entire innings, lost just two wickets but still could score only 57 runs. Czechia Women did not follow the same pursuit as they went in well with the chase. They won the game comfortably by nine wickets.

The track at the Montjuic Ground in Barcelona is quite helpful to batters in nature. With good seam and swing movement off the deck, pacers are expected to do well here. Batters, once settled can look to score big. Teams prefer to chase the total after winning the toss with the average first innings score being 107.
