Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Predicting West Indies’ Playing XI for their semi-final clash against New Zealand

Get ready for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final as we predict West Indies’ Playing XI . We are very close to getting a champion in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup and after the Aussies and the Proteas, it will be the Caribbean queens and the Kiwis who will fight for a place in the finals. The West Indies Women have topped their group and will be looking to make an impact against the strong-looking Kiwi side as well. This will be the West Indies competing for their second title and New Zealand looking to make it to their 3rd Women’s T20 World Cup final.

Though we know there are some great players on the New Zealand side it is the West Indian side who will be the most dangerous side with their powerful batters and all-rounders. This will be a contest to watch out for and we all will be looking forward to this upcoming semi-finals and will want to get closer to another Women’s T20 title and will be facing one of the strongest teams in the tournament.

So, here is the predicted West Indies’ Playing XI for the upcoming semi-final clash:

Hayley Matthews

Captain Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph after the last match should be picked for the upcoming semi-final for their half-centuries against England and even though Campbell could not impress in our last game, we hope that they back her in this upcoming game and continue their attacking style of cricket against the Kiwi’s in the semi-finals tomorrow. This will be the perfect top order who can play some attacking cricket early on.

Middle order:

Deandra Dottin

There is no question that Deandra Dottin who has been one of the top players will feature in the side as well these three add a lot of depth to the squad and will be tested in playing a major role in the upcoming match. Chedean is yet to play but Henry has already proven to be great with the ball and will be an important all-rounder option in the team going forward as well.

Lower middle order:

Ashmini Munisar

These two all-rounders have not been tested yet but we are sure that West Indies will be backing them going forward as well. James still bowled a decent 2-over spell, but Ashmini Munisar is yet to make an impact and we the West Indies Women will hope that she makes the most of it in the playoffs where she will be up against some of the best batters in the Kiwi side and will want to display her ability with both bat and ball.

Aaliyah Alleyne has already impressed us with both bat and ball and she will look to do the same against the Kiwis. Afy Fletcher and Karishma have also been top bowlers in the tournament for their team and will want to continue their great form in the semis as well. These three bowlers will be tested against one of the strongest batting lineups and they will want to prove themselves.
