Scoring runs against arch-rivals Pakistan is always a special feeling for any Indian batter. Wasim Jaffer experienced this joy in 2007 at the iconic Eden Gardens when he smashed a double century against Pakistan. In the second match of the Test series, Wasim led the Indian batting unit with his phenomenal batting show. Winning the toss, India elected to bat first and the opener grabbed this opportunity. He scored 202 runs and carried his team to a massive total of 616/5 in the first innings. The match ended in a draw but Jaffer’s heroic performance was acknowledged with the Player of the Match award.

India played a 2-match Test series against Bangladesh in 2007. In the second match at Mirpur, Wasim Jaffer turned up with another batting masterclass. The home side won the toss and opted to field first but soon the Indian batting unit made them realize that it was a big blunder. Jaffer gave India a formidable start along with his opening partner Dinesh Karthik.
