Malinga was well-known for his variations in the death overs especially slow-yorker balls in the final overs. With an average of 19.80, he has taken 170 wickets in 122 games. Malinga started his Indian T20 League career with Mumbai and ended with them too.
The Lankan superstar won The Purple Cap in 2011 for his 28 wickets during the fourth season of the tournament. He has played vital roles in Mumbai’s five championship victories. Malinga who has been consistent and phenomenal throughout his career has clinched three or more wickets 18 times.
3. Amit Mishra (166 Wickets in 154 matches)
Indian Stalwart Amit Mishra is the only spinner on this list. The right-arm leg break spinner is ranked third in the list of highest wicket-takers in the Indian T20 League. In 154 games, he has clinched 166 wickets at an average of 23.95. He claimed three or more wickets 16 times throughout his career, including a five-wicket haul while representing Delhi, Deccan, and Hyderabad.
In the game against Rajasthan, he made his IPL debut for Delhi in 2008. Although he has been one of the most consistent bowlers in the league He never succeeded in winning the IPL’s Purple Cap. Notably, he has the most hattricks in the Tournament.
