James Neesham, a.k.a., Jimmy Neesham is one of the most underrated players in the New Zealand team. He had shown some great intent in most of the matches played for the Black Caps. Neesham is a hard-hitter and has played in all the formats of the game. However, even after playing for many years, he’s yet to score a century for New Zealand. But even without a century, he’s an absolutely complete player who has done a lot for his country especially in the ODIs.

1. 97 runs vs Pakistan, 2019
In the ODI World Cup 2019 Neesham scored an unbeaten 97 runs off 112 balls including five boundaries and three sixes. He was in unbelievable form that day but couldn’t complete his century. Moreover, it wasn’t the Kiwis’ day as Pakistan won the game by six wickets while chasing a score of 238 runs. Babar Azam won the Player of the Match for his stunning 101 runs off 127 balls.
2. 74 runs vs Australia, 2016
Jimmy Neesham’s 2nd best score went in vain when New Zealand lost their 2nd ODI against Australia in 2016. He scored 74 runs off 83 balls including seven boundaries and one six. New Zealand were chasing a score of 379 runs when the batters failed massively. David Warner was the hero of the game with a beautiful century. He scored 119 runs off 115 balls. Australia won the game by 116 runs.
3. 71 runs vs South Africa, 2017
Neesham’s 3rd best score ended on a good note as New Zealand won the game against South Africa. He scored 71 runs off 57 balls including seven boundaries. However, Ross Taylor was given the Player of the Match for his magnificent century. He scored 102 runs in 110 balls.
