Top 3 unsold players from IPL 2025 mega auction Day 1

Explore the top 3 unsold players from IPL 2025 Mega Auction Day 1. The first day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction was full of thrill and entertainment as Rishabh Pant was sold to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for INR 27 crores and Shreyas Iyer went to Punjab Kings (PBKS) for INR 26.75 crores. They were the costliest players in the IPL history. Meanwhile, there were some players who went unsold on day 1. These players will be brought back at the end of the day two for any team to buy them. If the franchises will have some space in the team, they will definitely go for these players.

Here’s the three unsold players from the IPL 2025 mega auction:

1. Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt Padikkal

Left hander Devdutt Padikkal was the first player who went unsold in the ongoing mega auction. He is a brilliant bowler but hasn’t done much in the IPL. This is the main reason why he went unsold. He is a solid red-ball cricketer and has many accolades in that but when it comes to T20s he has failed to impress the viewers. He is a former member of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) who might bring him back in the team.

2. David Warner

Overseas player David Warner is one of the most destructive batters in the tournament. He has scored a number of half-centuries for multiple teams and the last he played for was Delhi Capitals. He was opening the innings and played really well. Due to his retirement from T20Is, he might have been unsold in the tournament.

3. Jonny Bairstow

Coming at a base price of INR 2 crores, Jonny Bairstow, was the third player who went unsold. He hasn’t had a good tournament yet while playing for Punjab Kings and that would have been the main reason behind him going unsold. Well, there is still a chance for him tomorrow.
