1. Faf du Plessis (INR 2 Crores) – Delhi Capitals 

Former RCB skipper and the veteran opener, Faf du Plessis had a decent run of form with the bat in the Indian Premier League 2024. He scored 438 runs in 15 innings, with a good strike rate of 161.62, hitting four half-centuries. Faf also led RCB to the playoffs of the tournament’s 17th edition in 2024. 

Despite a commendable captaincy and an appreciable batting run in IPL 2024, the former Proteas skipper could get a bid of only INR 2 crores from Delhi Capitals. Surprisingly, he was bought on the second day of the IPL 2025 mega auction after getting unsold on the first day of the auction.
