Australia have won the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 against India by 3-1. After two months of continuous action, the trophy finally travels back to Australia. In three games, Boland has 21 wickets at an average of 13.19. His performance was magnificent and he actually turned into a nightmare for the Indian batters. 

2. Emergence of Sam Konstas

The 19-year-old opening batter Sam Konstas announced his arrival in the cricket world with a terrific half-century in the first innings of his career. In the fourth Test match, he scored 60 runs off 65 balls and went after Bumrah with some unorthodox shots. It was just wonderful to watch a young lad perform against the best bowler in the World. If he continues to be confident in his approach, he can be the next big thing for Australia. 

3. Redemption of Steven Smith

Steven Smith’s BGT series didn’t start as he might have expected it to but it turned out pretty well in the later half. He went on to score a century in the third game followed by a knock of 140 runs in the fourth game. He played well in the fifth Test match as well which was an added advantage for Australia. After a series of failed performances, Smith’s redemption will be helpful for Australia in the WTC 2025 finals.
