Starc picked up 6 wickets which forced Pakistan to follow on. This first innings bowling effort from Starc almost blew Pakistan out of the contest and ultimately the home side won the match by an innings and 48 runs.

His 5 wickets in the first innings gave a huge lead to Australia which proved to be decisive in the end. Starc also won the Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling contribution.

A 5-wicket haul against the Ashes rivals, England, comes third on the list. He achieved these figures in the 2017 Ashes series when Australia played in their home conditions and Mitchell Starc exploited that to perfection. The English team was chasing a challenging total of 354 runs in the second innings. 

The task was a testing one and Starc added to their misery. The 34-year-old got a 5-fer which helped Australia restrict England to 233 runs and win the match by 120 runs.
