Shakib Al Hasan expressed confidence in Bangladesh’s World Cup squad, set to take place in India from October to November 19. On Friday, September 15, the Tigers secured a six-run victory over India in their final Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2023, held at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Despite the match being a dead rubber, this win ensured that Bangladesh avoided the embarrassment of finishing at the bottom of the points table. The trio of Shakib, Mahedi Hasan, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a pivotal role by collectively taking four wickets, with spinners leading the charge.
