The Zimbabwe series is done and now is the time for the Sri Lanka series to start. This will be the first series the Indian team will be under their new head coach Gautam Gambhir, and this will be the first test for the squad. The squad has been announced and there have been some great players in the setup who will be backed by skipper Rohit Sharma and Gambhir.
We all know that the Indian team is full of confidence after winning the T20 World Cup this year, but now it is a whole different format and a whole different setup going forward. The Indian team will be playing in this away series with a lot of confidence as some players have the chance to show their game on the day. We will be looking to see how some of these players perform in this series.
So, here are the top 3 players to watch out for in the upcoming ODI series:
3. Mohammed Siraj
We all know that Mohammed Siraj is already one of India’s most reliable pacers, but we also must know that he has been a problem for the Lankan batters. This will be another chance for him to get the better of them once again. Siraj with his seam bowling can make any batter look foolish on his day and it will be a day to witness when he does it against the Island nation once again.

2. Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer has not featured in a blue jersey for a long time, and this will be the moment when he will want to make an impact. The spinning conditions of Sri Lanka will also suit him quite well, and he can once again prove to be another dangerous batter to watch out for. He has come back into the Indian side after leading Kolkata Knight riders to an IPL title, and we hope he can bring the same confidence to this game as well.
1. Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant is finally back, and he will come into this after featuring in his great World Cup campaign. It will be interesting to see if he will get a game in this series after a long break from ODI cricket. This will be another great challenge for the Southpaw wicket-keeper batter, and it will be interesting to see how well he can perform in the 50-over format. We hope we can see the best of Pant in this series as well.
