The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is almost halfway finished and every team still has a chance of making it into the top 4. This time we will be talking about two teams who have also had one of the most underrated rivalries so far. We will be talking about the match between The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) which will be taking place at the Chinnaswamy on the 15th of April. The two teams so far have played 23 matches where the Sunrisers have won 12 matches and the RCB are trailing behind with 10 wins.
Even in the points table, SRH are still in 5th position with 3 wins and 2 losses in their 5 games whereas RCB are at the bottom with only a solitary win from their 6 games. This might still be a game where we can see some iconic players perform. Both these teams have put on some great matches in the past and it will be a treat to watch them go at it again. Today we will be looking at who the three players to watch out for in this upcoming encounter will be.
Here are the 3 players who can change the game in favour of their respective teams:
3. Abhishek Sharma (SRH)
Abhishek Sharma is perhaps one of the best young talents in the Sunrisers squad, with his explosive batting at the top. The 23-year-old former u-19 star has been one of the top players for his team even in this season. Abhishek has scored 177 runs in his 5 games at an average of 35.40 and has been striking at over 208. This has been another great season for the youngster and he will also look to create havoc at the Chinnaswamy’s short boundaries.
2. Heinrich Klaasen (SRH)
South African wicketkeeper Heinrich Klassen has been one of the top wicket keeper batters in the IPL right now. Klassen once again has been in the form of his life scoring 186 runs in 5 games and averaging over 60. Klassen was one of the star performers for the Hyderabad franchise, which has reinvented a once-struggling side in the last few seasons. The small grounds in Chinnaswamy will be a joy for the dangerous ball striker as well.
1. Virat Kohli (RCB)
Virat is possibly the only player carrying a struggling RCB team in the tournament. This might be a breakthrough season for Virat but he still needs his team to give some consistent performances. So far the former RCB skipper is leading the Orange cap race with 319 runs from the 6 games he has featured in at a solid average of 79.75. Virat has still shown why he is regarded as one of the top players in the world and he will be looking to play another big innings and make sure his team wins at home.
