Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) has seen a lot of superstars play for them since their IPL 2024 mini-auction. However, after three finalists and five playoff attempts, the team has yet to win a title. Despite being the title contenders in some seasons and being a fan favorite, the team has disappointed their fans so far. Meanwhile, in this listicle, we will have a look at three players they will target.
Three players RCB will target during the auction
1. Josh Hazlewood
The Australia pacer has been part of the team for the last couple of seasons. Ahead of the upcoming player auction, the right-arm pacer has been released by the team. One reason could be the injury woes he had from December 2022 to IPL 2023 in April-May this year.
However, the team can still buy him back as he and his Australia teammates are looking forward to playing in the 17th season. Meanwhile, with the team having trouble with the ball, they would like to buy him back.
2. Mitchell Starc
The left-arm pacer has played for the team previously in 2014 and 2015. Eight years back, coming off great form in the ODI World Cup, he carried his form in the cash-rich league. However, due to his injury issues, Starc has stayed away from the tournament to keep himself ready for international cricket assignments. Just like his teammate, Hazlewood, he is also looking forward to playing in the league to prepare for the T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA.
3. Sarfaraz Khan
The right-hander has also played for the team previously from 2015 to 2018. In the last few seasons, he has played for Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals albeit not getting enough opportunities. Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers had a problem in the middle-order and Khan might prove useful for the team.
