Rassie van der Dussen played his best ODI knock in 2022 against England in an away ODI series. In the first match of the series the visitors elected to bat after winning the toss. South Africa suffered an early loss as Quinton De Kock was dismissed by Sam Curran in the powerplay. However, this early setback did not affect the momentum because Rassie van der Dussen stitched a partnership with Janneman Malan. The former continued to progress the innings with his shot-making and ended up with 134 runs to his name. He was also awarded the Player of the Match for his match-winning batting contribution.

The right-hander enjoys batting in situations when his team is under the pump. Rassie scored this unbeaten century against India in the first match of the ODI series between the two teams in Paarl. The Proteas were reeling in the first innings as they had lost three crucial players with just 68 runs on the board. However, the 35-year-old changed the complexion of the match as he built a massive partnership with the skipper Temba Bavuma. Rassie van der Dussen stayed unbeaten and ensured a comprehensive total for his team in the first innings.
